Stubbs Rich have transformed the Beau Nash Picture House in Bath into the new home of Komedia – one of the UK’s leading arts and entertainment organisations.

We were asked by the SU to help them communicate their needs to the University through designing a scheme that reorganised and extended their facilities. This project gained overwhelming support from the students and was supported by the Vice Chancellor. It is due to be complete late 2010.

The completed building now provides a multi-purpose sports hall, aerobics and dance studios, a fully equipped gym, and a café and nursery.

The Forum, Bath

Formerly a cinema and now used very successfully both as a meeting place for a church community and as a concert venue. The Forum is a listed, landmark Art Deco building in the centre of the historic city of Bath.

We have developed a scheme on this very tight and highly constrained site which will accommodate up to 800 people both for the main services on a Sunday, as well as functioning as an art school, dance studio, music rehearsal and many other uses during the week.

As part of a larger masterplan for Abergavenny that included a food store, underground car park, public space, shops and affordable housing, the library provided a focal point for this important town centre development. Stubbs Rich were appointed following their success in an invited design competition.
