Over the last 25 years, I have delivered projects with a value of over £500m for a handful of clients. I enjoy really understanding what my clients are trying to achieve, helping them find success and sticking with them. The service goes beyond simply delivering a good building - I like to be certain this is the best we can do to meet the client’s needs.

Town planning legislation has been my long-term focus of additional study, for it is here that very considerable added-value can be achieved.  I link this understanding with masterplanning skills and behind the scenes negotiations, to find previously unimaginable solutions where everyone achieves success, value and satisfaction.

Delivering exceptional value to clients has become a predominant theme for me.  It builds upon my understanding of how buildings can fail and therefore where we need to provide extra resilience, and conversely, where savings can safely be made.  It also builds on my experience as client advisor, and from this I understand how difficult it is to raise capital and how important it is not to waste money.

For all the clients I work with, I like to fully understand what they are looking to achieve. I put myself in their shoes and apply my experience to make sure that the project we deliver is a complete success for them.  This is what I enjoy and it is this that makes the hard work worthwhile.

After completing my studies at Cardiff University I spent eight years working in London, with much travelling back and forth to Wiltshire for a series of projects for Marlborough College.  Eventually the pull west proved too great to resist.

For me, the greatest achievement is for the end users to be delighted with the building and to use it to its fullest potential - providing this gives me enormous satisfaction. I truly believe that team work is the best approach and I enjoy the challenge of bringing together the pieces of the jigsaw.

Having only recently joined Stubbs Rich, I am looking forward to extending and developing my skills in a whole new direction, working with new teams and tackling new challenges.

I was born in Guernsey and lived there until beginning my architectural studies at the University of Bath… as a foreign student!  With the exception of a year spent working in Graz, Austria, I have been in Bath ever since.  I joined Stubbs Rich in 2007 and qualified in 2009.  I am also a part-time tutor at Bath.

I genuinely enjoy all aspects of my job, from spotting an opportunity to completing the project.  One of the best aspects is developing good relationships with clients.  I am equally happy with discussions round the table or during a round of golf: whatever it takes to engage with the client and live their vision.

Professional - I try to be, personable - I hope so, presentable - my fiancée thinks so.  Having only just qualified, I am eager to embrace the opportunities in front of me - all of them!
